There are scenes in the aisles, scenes on the stage...there's even a part where a character (Jim Hawkins) slithers under the feet of the audience on his way to the stage.
All over.
ATTENTION CAST AND CREW: I need to put a sword fight or two in the play. Where? I'm thinking that the battle on the island show involve swords in the aisles...also thinking that Jim might should fight Israel Hands with a sword. Where else?

56 days, I believe...something absurd like that.
I love how the play is all over the place. It doesn't simply "bring the audience into the play", it THRASHES them towards it, kicking and screaming.
Which is good for this play. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Aisle sword fights would be awesome. And I would definately not object to sword fighting with Jim. That'd be lots of fun. =)
Well, there's a fight between Black Dog and Billy Bones, Israel Hands and Jim, the big battle on the island between pirates and sailors....the only other violent conflict I can remember right off hand is at the end where Livesay, Squire and Gunn (presumably) start firing at the four pirates from the woods. Swords may be easier to implement than guns in that scene. Just a suggestion...if you were indeed asking for them.
Isle fights would be cool, but have great potential to go very, very wrong, i.e. a sword lodged in the spleen of an audience member. I know that we want to make the audience feel like its real, but not that real.
I like the idea of when I'm on the red hill or whatever it is, and I'm watching the fighting, instead of stopping the fighting before it starts, how about having a five minute little scuffle?
You may be able to get around the knife being thrown at my back with a sword fight. For someone who's supposed to be so courageous, running away from Silver isn't very becoming.
I agree with harry. Also I think we should keep the Hands/Jim fight the gun and knife because Jim hasn't had any fighting experience as opposed to Hands (despite being drunk and hurt) is still more proficient. Drunk and hand-to-hand combat go decent together.
I think you should let Ben Gunn see some action.
:D
Hmm...Kyle makes sense.
Though, Kevin and I were talking and he had a pretty good idea: In the scene where he and Dick run away, Kevin suggested that he, Harry, be all pumped up to sword fight. But Dick, being the easily frightenable man he his, is scared, picks up Harry and runs away into the woods, where they end up anyhow.
