We're open.

A couple of things...first, we want your comments. What did you think about TREASURE ISLAND?

If you are an audience member, we want to know what you liked, or didn't like, about our production. If you are a company member, we want to know how you feel about the entire experience--from initial press conference (December 13, 2006), through the run and strike of the show.

As director, I'll try to maintain daily updates and comments about specific performances. I'll also insert cool production photos (photographer: Mark Lehner).

THANKS! For all of you who chose to see and participate in MANN SHOW 2007's TREASURE ISLAND.

Last night was freaking AMAZING. Everyone, I think, was at the peak of their game --- from what I could hear at least.

And thank whatever diety for responsive audiences. I loved how people really were booing and what not. It was great when I was applauded for dying. =]

Crew-- you guys are amazing. I think all of us would fall apart without you.

Oh my god. That was amaaaaziiiinnng!

I'm sorry I'm leaving. Really, I am.

I'm going to try other mediums for the tattoos. Besides the fact that all the black ones are dried out, they all sweated off but Turza's and Tim's.

I thought opening night went wonderfully well, and even the very few mistakes were played off really really well.

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming shows tho, because then everyone is prepared for the feeling of performing and the play will just continue to get better. Plus, all those butterflies will leave once we all get comfortable with actually perfoming for people.

Hahhahaha, I love listening to the audience reactions, they laughed and applauded at moments I didn't expect.

Chris,

Loved the into to the play....and the music played throughout the first half of the show.

I only stayed for the first half of the play. I am planning to attend on Sunday with Mary Ann, Ann, and Robin. I wanted to leave some surprises for me......

The play, props, reminded me of the plays I saw at my brother's high school in McKeesport, PA. I fell in love with the plays, movies, drama, everything about productions at this time. You brought back that whole happy experience to me last night...

Thanks for allowing me to reminisce...

Just wanted to drop a short note on how much the Linn's enjoyed it. Matthew had a wonderful time even though we had to drag him to the show. Thought you guys would like to know that Matty read the book last year and actually hated it, but loved your performance.
Two...errr...three thumbs up!

OMG!! Kudos to all cast and crew!! The play was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!

I went to plays alot when I was growing up in Dallas, and my highschool also had wonderful plays(all musicals)...with some actors who went on to be famous on Broadway(one received a Pulitzer Prize). That said, YOUR performance of Treasure Island was OVER THE TOP!!

Our family saw it on Opening Night...and will bring others to see it on Thursday and maybe Friday, too.

Even though this play is "a living thing" and is different for every performance, I hope somebody out there is FILMING it and will share with other parents! Man, I'd love to keep at least one performance of this play forever...even if it's only a series of highlights! Okay, I'm begging...

The audience loved the crashing glass when Pew swung his stick! Very Realistic! Also, I wondered if 'Tim's pants' were just part of the play, too! Haha! These aren't 'mistakes'; they're what makes it ALIVE!

Jay's mannerisms/body-language made him believable as the 'hesitant young boy', Jim Hawkins! Loved it!

Billy Bones' ticks, snorts, and entire performance were very well done. He's quite the singer, too!

Dr.Livesay's reaction to Bone's knife was PERFECTLY timed and quite strong!! Michael seemed to be 'made' for the role...very believable.

Trelawney was also extremely well-performed...exaggerated but still believable! And the facial expressions were hilarious at times! Where did he learn to be such a pompous...donkey?! Great job, Sebastian!

Capt'n Smollett was amaaazing!! Possibly the only student actress who never even once 'walked like a girl'...Tory was absolutely believable as a man!! And a rigid, stubborn, opinionated one at that! Great performance!!

Knox's performance was shocking! He actually made me believe that he'd really 'ben gunn' as long as he said he was on that island!! His persona, mannerisms, and sheer energy were amazing!! Did you hear the audience giggling at the cheese and cheering when he jumped on Kevin's back??

Great job, Ross and Ryd! Redruth's fight scene was excellent, and Long John's roar at the audience in response to their booing was awesome, too!

Ah, Ryd-the-Kid. What can I say? He raised the level of everyone else's performance! I think he took the audience's breath away with his well-timed outbursts, too. Long John was amazing!!

Thanks to Mr/Mrs Hawkins, pirates, and 'extras', as well! None of it would've worked without you all!

Aside from the performances, the makeup, hair, tattoos, and costumes and entire set were really, really great, too! And the lights and sound = WOW!!

You did it, Coach White!! You did it, Actors!! You did it, Crew!!

Congrats, All!!

I loved the show. Not only were the actors, designers, technicians and the director clearly passionate about the story they were telling, but the skill with which all the technical aspects were executed (the sets changes, the transitions, the complicated cues, the curtain call, etc.) demonstrated a real respect for the material, for the ensemble and for the audience. Thank you for presenting a challenging and entertaining evening of theatre!

WOW!

The Thursday night performance was THE BOMB. I haven't had this much fun at a play in a long time!

Where can I start? I walked in the theater and instantly knew I was in for a treat. My kids and I were fortunate enough to sit by the bow of the ship. I'm still ringing out my clothes! Blood! Gore! Pirates! THEATER!!

Such enthusiasm and fun on stage! You can tell a great deal of hard work and determination went into this production.

Students... if you haven't already recognized it, you've done something special.
